The Faculty of International Relations held a Mini-Model UN dedicated to UN Day and the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On October 24th, the United Nations Day, the NEW SILK WAY Model United Nations, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, officially opened its session of the United Nations General Assembly Committee.

Today's agenda, “Addressing the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Global Security and Diplomacy,” invites young delegates to discuss how emerging technologies are reshaping international relations, security frameworks, and the ethics of global governance.

The conference brings together students and aspiring diplomats from across Kazakhstan and beyond to develop practical solutions through debate, negotiation, and collaboration - embodying the values of the United Nations: peace, dialogue, and cooperation.

The Dean of the International Relations Faculty, Zhuldyz Sairambaeva, Director Academic Regional Resource Center of Information about the United Nations, Leila Delovarova, and the United Nations Representative of Global Communications Department, Vlastimil Samek were among the guests.

The Secretary-General of the conference highlighted that this MUN, held on UN Day, “reminds us that even in an age of artificial intelligence, human diplomacy remains our strongest tool for peace”.
