On October 28, 2025, students of Group 205 of the educational program "jurisprudence", organized by Associate Professor, candidate of Law, head of the Discussion Club "El Tutka" Tlepbergenov Orynbasar, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, visited the monument to Alke Margulan and got acquainted with his biography.
During the visit, students got acquainted with the life path of Alkey Margulan, his research works and his contribution to the development of Kazakh science. Alkey Margulan is one of the founders of Kazakh archeology and ethnography, a scientist who studied the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Kazakh people in depth. He was born in 1904 in Pavlodar region and devoted his life to science and enlightenment.
Such works of the scientist as “ancient songs, legends”, “korkyt Ata”, “ancient culture of central Kazakhstan”, “epic traditions of the Kazakh people” made a great contribution to the knowledge of the roots of Kazakh history and culture. As a result of archaeological expeditions led by alkei Margulan, such unique historical monuments as the Begazy–Dandybay culture were identified and a new scientific view of the ancient civilization of the Kazakh land was formed.
During the event, students laid flowers at the monument to the scientist, exchanged views on his place in the history of the country and his contribution to science. Alkey Margulan's hard work, love for the motherland and dedication to education were noted as an example for young people.
This event allowed students to deeply understand the life principles of the scientist, to understand the importance of national cultural heritage and quality education. In addition, Alkey Margulan's dedication to science and the spirit of service to the country increased responsibility and cognitive interest among young people.
