KazNU student has successfully completed the IRONMAN tournament

Eldar Shekerbek, a student of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, worthily represented Kazakhstan at the next stage of the IRONMAN 70.3 Turkiye international triathlon tournament, which was held in Turkiye.

The competition was held at the Belek tourist center, bringing together more than 2,000 athletes from 88 countries. The tournament included three disciplines: swimming, cycling and marathon running.

The start of the competition was given at 08:00 local time on the Mediterranean coast. The participants had to cover 2 km in open water, then 90 km on bicycles and finish the race with a marathon run of 21 km.

In the 18-24 Masters age category, Eldar Shekerbek showed high results, taking 11th place with a time of 4 hours and 51 minutes. This is especially significant given the high level of participants – among them were experienced athletes with international titles.
