Republican social action "People's Lawyer"
On October 31, 2025, the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took an active part in the traditional national social campaign “Halyk Zanǵeri” (“People’s Lawyer”), held in Almaty at the Palace of Schoolchildren. The event was organized by the Almaty City Prosecutor’s Office.

The main goal of the campaign was to enhance citizens’ legal literacy, strengthen the principles of legality and public order, and build public trust in state institutions. During the event, residents of Almaty had the opportunity to receive free legal consultations in various areas of law, including civil, administrative, labor, family, and other legal matters. Each participant received valuable information about their rights and obligations, as well as practical advice on resolving everyday legal issues.

The department’s faculty members actively participated in the campaign, providing professional legal assistance to citizens. The event was held under the leadership of the Head of the Department, PhD in Law, Acting Professor K.R. Useinova. Among the active participants were Doctor of Law, Professor Zh.A. Kegembayeva, S.Kh. Abdullina, and S.D. Darkhanova, who conducted consultations and provided legal clarifications on various issues.

Such initiatives not only strengthen the relationship between citizens and law enforcement agencies but also provide valuable practical experience for future lawyers. The “People’s Lawyer” campaign is an important social initiative aimed at fostering legal culture and promoting respect for the law among citizens.
The participation of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law in this campaign demonstrates the university’s social responsibility and represents a tangible contribution to the development of a law-governed state. In the future, the department will continue to support public initiatives aimed at promoting legal culture, justice, and the rule of law.
