The lecturers of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law — Baktiyar Arna, Zhainak Aidar, and Zhaparbek Araylym — conducted a session on Sustainable Development Goal 8, “Decent Work and Economic Growth,” on the topic: “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Labor Market and Employment: Risks and Opportunities for Kazakhstan.”
Third-year students of the Faculty of Law actively participated in the event.

📌 The lecturers discussed how the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies affects the labor market, which professions are gradually disappearing, and which ones are becoming increasingly in demand.

📌 Special attention was given to issues of digital inequality, the need for workforce retraining, the creation of “smart” workplaces, and the role of the state in regulating digital transformation processes. It was noted that with a well-designed development strategy, artificial intelligence can become a powerful tool for innovative growth and sustainable economic development in Kazakhstan. Emphasis was also placed on President K. Tokayev’s Address titled “Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Current Challenges and Their Solutions through Digital Transformation,” in which artificial intelligence was identified as one of the country’s strategic development priorities.
