Students of the Department of Far East Studies Presented at a Seminar Dedicated to Korea–Kazakhstan Relations
On November 10, 2025, a seminar titled “Relations between Korea and Kazakhstan” was held at the Kazakhstan Hotel in Almaty, organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea. The event aimed to strengthen friendly ties between the two countries and to foster young people’s interest in cultural, social, and economic cooperation between Korea and Kazakhstan.
During the seminar, fourth-year students of the Department of Far East Studies presented their research papers focusing on the history, culture, and development of educational relations between Korea and Kazakhstan.
The seminar was attended by Head of the Department of Far Eastern Studies, Abagan A. B., and Senior Lecturer of the Korean Studies Section, Pak T. N., who commended the high level of student preparation and emphasized the importance of youth engagement in the development of international relations.
The event took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, encouraging open exchange of opinions and ideas. Representatives of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea expressed their gratitude to the participants and highlighted the significance of such cultural and academic meetings in further strengthening cooperation between Korea and Kazakhstan.
