On October 31, 2025, a nationwide social campaign titled “People’s Lawyer – 2025” was held at the Palace of Schoolchildren in Almaty, aimed at providing free legal assistance to the public.
The goal of the campaign was to enhance citizens’ legal literacy, offer free legal consultations, and promote the social responsibility of the legal profession.
During the event, citizens had the opportunity to receive professional advice on labor, housing, social security, entrepreneurship, land, and civil law issues. Consultations were provided by representatives of state authorities, experienced lawyers, university professors, and students.
In particular, consultations were given by:
– Nurzhan Ismagulov, Head of the Department of Economic Investigations for Almaty of the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
– Balaim Tuganbaykyzy Kesebayeva, Head of the Department of Justice of Almaty,
– Azat Sapargaliyevich Omarov, Deputy Head of the Department of State Revenues for Almaty,
– Shynaray Alimkhankyzy Alimkhan, Head of the Department of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs in Almaty,
– Serik Akmyrzayuly Karipbekov, Prosecutor of Almaty City, Senior Justice Adviser.
The event was also attended by the leadership of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, as well as representatives of the *Student Legal Clinic* operating under the Department of Customs, Financial, and Environmental Law. Among them were:
