Representatives of the Department of Chinese Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took part in an international conference in Uzbekistan.

On November 8, 2025, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Uzbekistan – China: Development of Historical, Cultural, Scientific and Economic Relations” and the International Forum “China – Central Asia: Interstate Exchange and Cooperation” were held at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS, Republic of Uzbekistan).

The event was organized with the support of UNESCO and the Confucius Institute at TSUOS, bringing together leading scholars, researchers, and educators from Central Asian countries, China, and other states.

The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was represented by Farida Orazakynkyzy, Head of the Department of Chinese Studies, as well as doctoral students Raissa Pak and Chen Jiaxu from the same department.

During the plenary and sectional sessions, the KazNU representatives presented the results of their research:

  • Farida Orazakynkyzy and Raissa Pak delivered a joint presentation titled “Advancing Chinese Language Teaching through Innovative Technologies,” in which they explored forward-looking approaches to Chinese language instruction through the use of innovative digital tools.
  • Chen Jiaxu presented a paper titled “The Linguistic Powerhouse: A CSP-Driven Model for Fostering High-Quality Human Resources for Sino-Uzbek Economic Cooperation,” focusing on models for training highly qualified specialists to promote Sino-Uzbek economic cooperation.

The participation of representatives from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the international conference and forum in Tashkent marked an important step toward strengthening academic and scientific ties between Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and China, as well as expanding interuniversity cooperation in the fields of Oriental studies, linguistics, and intercultural communication.
