A seminar on “Suicide Prevention” was conducted.

    On November 11, 2025, specialists from the Student Campus of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took part in a seminar held at the coworking hall of META University in Almaty. The seminar covered the following topics: “Suicide Prevention,” “Prevention of Bad Habits,” “Prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs),” and “Sex Education.”

    The seminar was conducted by Saltanat Yusupkyzy Nurpeisova, candidate of the Psychoanalysts Association, analytical psychologist, and training psychoanalyst.

During the event, seven main causes of suicide were discussed:

• Bullying;

• Cyberbullying;

• Sexual harassment and violence;

• Online blackmail;

• Teenage pregnancy;

• Different sexual orientation and gender identity;

• Premarital sexual relations and cultural norms.

    At the end of the seminar, participants received certificates and educational materials.

    The main goal of the event was to reduce risk factors that negatively affect the mental and physical health of young people and to promote a healthy lifestyle among students.
