At the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, as part of the implementation of the ideologeme “LAW AND ORDER” in higher education and with the aim of improving the legal literacy of young people, a meeting was held on the topic “The role of law and order in building a legal state.” The meeting involved the teaching staff of the Department of Customs, Financial, and Environmental Law of the Faculty of Law — the Head of the Department, Doctor of Law, Professor Gulnar Kuanaliyeva; Assistant Professor Kanat Kozhabek; Candidate of Law, Professor Gulnar Aigarinova; and PhD, Senior Lecturer M.N. Umbetov.
Our legal experts, taking into consideration President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s address “A Just Kazakhstan: law and order, economic growth, public optimism,” explained that the principle of “Law and Order” is primarily aimed at ensuring a calm and safe life for the population, as well as timely identifying various offenses and crimes and bringing offenders to justice in accordance with the law.
The meeting proved to be a valuable event aimed at shaping the legal consciousness of students and reinforced the understanding that only by upholding and respecting legality and morality — both by citizens and law enforcement officers — can we live in a clean, fair, civilized, and safe Kazakhstan.
