Round table on the topic "Modern youth: opportunities and prospects".
On November 13, 2025, at 15:00, faculty from the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology, first-year students from the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management, and international students from Turkmenistan from the Faculty of History held an online roundtable discussion on "Today's Youth: Opportunities and Prospects" via the ZOOM platform, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4, "Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all." The goal of the roundtable was to develop students' understanding of their future prospects in society, explore the concept of youth, strengthen their knowledge of their physical and psychological health, and develop a conscious ability to balance their social and personal lives.
Faculty and students from the Department of Linguistics and Intercultural Communication at the Volgograd Institute of Management, a branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, participated in the roundtable discussion. Senior lecturer R.N. Balgabekova moderated the event and presented a brief overview of the roundtable's key objectives. Representing the Volgograd Institute of Management, senior lecturer O.N. Antimonova presented a wide range of government programs and initiatives in the Russian Federation, as well as at the Volgograd Institute of Management, a branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, aimed at supporting young people, developing modern skills, and expanding opportunities for self-fulfillment.
Students prepared and presented presentations on a complex social issue of our time—the causes and consequences of youth challenges and prospects in Kazakhstan, Russia, and around the world, as well as specific measures to overcome these problems. At the end of the presentation, participants asked questions on these topics, expressed their thoughts, and actively participated in the discussion. As a result, current issues regarding opportunities for today's youth in society were discussed and summarized. A conscious attitude toward one's physical and psychological health should become an integral part of life, the main distinguishing feature of a well-rounded young generation.
