The Bridge of Brotherhood and Spirituality

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation, held a cultural and spiritual event "Abai and Maktumkuli-great classics", dedicated to the work of two giants of Turkic spirituality 14.11.25).

At the cultural event, it was noted that the legacy of the great Kazakh thinker Abai Kunanbaevich and the brilliant poet of the Turkmen people Maktumkuli Fragi is deeply rooted in brotherhood and cultural continuity between peoples.

At the event, 4th year students majoring in foreign philology read poems by two classics in Kazakh and Turkmen and touched the hearts of the audience. Reports on the life and work of the poets were read out.

The meaning of Abai's life in "Words of Edification", Maktumkulov in "Be a man!" the testament was seen as spiritually consonant with each other themes.

Honorary member of the Turkmen Cultural Center, Mrs. Annakuliyeva Gulnar Ataevna, who has worked tirelessly on strong cultural ties between the two fraternal countries since our country gained independence, took part in the literary evening as a special guest: "Spirituality is the strongest bridge bringing the Turkic peoples closer together. The legacy of Abai and Maktumkulov is the golden peg of the spiritual bridge."

The honorary guests of the literary evening were the Deputy of the Department of Science and Innovation of the University, PhD Akimbekova G. Sh. in her speech, she noted: "Abai and Maktumkuli are two high peaks reflecting the spiritual integrity of the Turkic world. They show the way not only in their time, but also in our time."

In her speech, M. M. Aimagambetova, PhD, Head of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation, wished success in the work of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan and expressed great gratitude to the Turkmen Center, which supports Turkmen students of our specialty. The head also congratulated Annakuliyeva Gulnara Ataevna on the 70th anniversary of this year from the staff of the department and wished creative success in her work.

This spiritual collection "Abai and Maktumkuli-great classics" became a vivid example of worship of the literary heritage of the Turkic world, glorification of friendship and unity between peoples. The works of the two great poets are the spiritual heritage of the Turkic peoples, embodying a common spiritual tone and eternal friendship.
