About the International Forum

“Space Days Kazakhstan 2025”

 

Dear colleagues!

 

The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan informs about the International Forum Space Days Kazakhstan 2025, which will be held on September 8-10, 2025 in Almaty on the basis of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi.

The Forum is a unique platform of international level, designed to promote:

• Strengthening cooperation between countries in the field of peaceful space exploration;
• Development of high technologies, innovations and science;
• Training of highly qualified specialists in aerospace;
• Integration of Kazakhstan into the global space community.

Relationship to the Address of the President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev

The Forum implements the key directions outlined in the President's Address, including the development of human capital, digitalization, science and sustainable economy. The participation of universities, research institutes and the private sector is an important step towards building a New Kazakhstan - an innovative, competitive and knowledge-oriented state.

Contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

1. SDG 4 (Quality Education) - through student and faculty participation in scientific sessions and workshops;

2. SDG 9 (Infrastructure and Innovation) - discussing the future of satellite building, IoT and digital monitoring;

3. SDG 13 (Combating Climate Change) - sessions on controlling CO₂ emissions and using satellites for agro-monitoring;

4. SDG 17 (Global Partnership) - participation of over 50 countries and the UN (COPUOS) in shaping the international agenda.

Key events of the program:

September 8: UN-SPIDER Regional Workshop, technical sessions, AI-monitoring, IoT, space geodesy;

September 9: Plenary session with participation of the Minister of CRIAP, Rector of KazNU, representatives of the UN, Airbus, Roscosmos and others. International panels on satellite communications, sustainable development, spaceport development and AI in monitoring;

September 10: Trip to Assy-Turgen Observatory;

September 11: Excursion to Baikonur Cosmodrome and observation of Soyuz launch.

We invite universities, research centers, international organizations and industrial partners to take an active part in the forum and contribute to shaping the future of space and sustainable development.

The Space Days Kazakhstan 2025 Forum is a dialog about space that starts here and now.
