Within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production – the Department of Turkology and History of Eastern Countries organized a roundtable discussion titled «Eco-Friendly Lifestyle in Student Dormitories: Ways to Save Energy and Resources» aimed at enhancing students’ environmental literacy and fostering a culture of responsible consumption in daily life.

The event took place at Student Dormitory No. 14 of our university. During the session, participants received detailed information on the importance of an eco-friendly lifestyle, methods of saving energy and water, and strategies for reducing and reusing household waste.

During the roundtable, students discussed environmental responsibility, the efficient use of natural resources, and the development of eco-friendly habits in everyday life. Participants also shared their views on the benefits of a «green» lifestyle, the importance of energy efficiency, and the culture of waste sorting.

Dormitory residents offered their suggestions for promoting environmental awareness and contributing to strengthening eco-responsibility in everyday life. The event helped broaden students’ ecological perspective and reinforced their active commitment to protecting the environment.

Such educational meetings play a key role in cultivating environmental awareness, instilling sustainable development principles among youth, and nurturing responsible future citizens.
