An agreement has been signed with Fudan University
A delegation from Fudan University (China) paid a working visit to al-Farabi Kazakh National University. During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Board – First Vice-Rector of KazNU Erkin Duisenov spoke about the university's activities as a leading research university in Kazakhstan and provided information about the university's international relations.
In his speech, the first Vice-rector made proposals for further development of cooperation, including: expanding joint research projects, strengthening partnership in the field of personnel training, opening new double-degree bachelor's, master's and PhD programs in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Information Security, Big Data, Materials Science, Robotics and others..

The head of the delegation, Su Kui, Director of the Office for International Students of Fudan University, emphasized the global reputation of her university, which is among the top world rankings and has numerous laboratories and centers in the fields of chemistry, engineering, biology and digital technologies. The speech focused on the interest in the development of bilateral educational programs and the exchange of students, graduate students and teachers in the fields of Big Data, chemistry, engineering, pharmacy, artificial intelligence and other modern disciplines.

At the end of the meeting, the participants signed a memorandum of understanding between KazNU and the National University Technopark of Fudan University.

The program document fixed the directions of cooperation. These include the creation of joint laboratories and innovation hubs, the participation of researchers and students in startup programs, joint work on technology transfer, patenting and commercialization of projects. It also provides for the organization of hackathons and international forums, as well as the development of joint educational courses on innovation and entrepreneurship.
