SDG 4, 10, 16: “A Love Story” performance staged in honor of International Students’ Day
To celebrate International Students' Day, the “Biz” Student Theatre, operating under the KazNU ART Center at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, presented a stage performance based on Kanat Junisov's play “A Love Story.”
This performance is one of the significant works in contemporary Kazakh dramaturgy. It explores themes of love, life choices, morality, and personal responsibility. Through the emotions, inner conflicts, and worldviews of the young characters, the production reflects societal values and the influence of parental guidance.
“A Love Story” has become a popular choice among student theatres as it resonates deeply with young audiences. The play begins as a simple narrative but evolves into a deep dramatic journey, prompting the audience to reflect and engage emotionally.
The student theatre staged the play using minimalist scenography, focusing on acting, dialogue, and emotional expression. The audience highly appreciated the play’s dynamics and authenticity.
The main goal of the event was to foster students’ creative potential, cultivate an interest in the arts, and contribute to their cultural and spiritual development.
