SDG № 3, 4, 16: The seminar on the topic «Life is the Greatest Value»

A Seminar on Suicide and Addiction Prevention Among Youth Held in Almaty With the support of the Almaty Department of Youth Policy, the public foundation “Sana” – Intellectual Youth School organized an important seminar as part of the “Life is the Greatest Value” project. The event took place in the coworking hall of META University (address: 109B Tole Bi Street).

The seminar brought together deputy deans responsible for youth affairs from higher education institutions across Almaty. During the session, participants discussed topics such as “Suicide Prevention,” “Prevention of Harmful Habits,” “Prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs),” and “Sex Education.”

The main goal of the seminar was to raise awareness about risk factors affecting the mental and physical health of students, as well as to provide theoretical and practical knowledge on preventive measures.

Experts analyzed the causes and consequences of pressing youth issues and presented effective strategies to address them. Participants were introduced to practical tools and methodologies that can be applied in their daily work with students.

As a result of the seminar, deputy deans expressed their commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle among youth, strengthening psychological support, and enhancing preventive efforts aimed at reducing risks within the student community.

The “Life is the Greatest Value” project will continue to encourage young people to value life, care for their well-being, and develop a culture of responsibility toward their own health.
