On October 14, 2025, at 12:00 PM in room 216, a roundtable discussion was held at the Faculty of Journalism at Al-Farabi KazNU under the leadership of Zh.Kh. Salkhanova, Associate Professor of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature, and Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, and Yu.K. Amanbaeva held a round table on the topic of quality education. Students majoring in International Journalism participated in the event. In small groups, the students developed presentations about the education systems of different countries and prepared audiovisual materials, newspapers, crosswords, and quizzes. Students Arsen Shamshitdin, Ruslana Yarovaya, and Satimbek Danaiym presented the results of a sociological survey conducted on the university campus. The purpose of the survey was to identify the opinions of faculty and students on how they rate the level of education in Kazakhstan. Students Turysbay Anel, Turgynbay Ademi, and Samatkyzy Aizhanat spoke about the education system in European countries. Students prepared a report on the education system in Asian countries. Students also discussed our country's education system and the most famous graduates of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Students Orynbay Nurkamal, Torekhan Anel, and Turbek Zarina held a digital competition. Event moderator Zh.Kh. Salkhanova introduced the students to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program document, noting that in the context of globalization, each of the 17 areas of this program is gradually being implemented both in our country and globally.
