Leadership lecture to Almaty students on the occasion of the 180th anniversary of Abai Qunanbaiuly, who is regarded as a golden pillar of Kazakh spiritual culture.
A lecturer of our university and linguist, Arǵynbek Qunanbaiuly, delivered a leadership lecture to Almaty students on the occasion of the 180th anniversary of Abai Qunanbaiuly, who is regarded as a golden pillar of Kazakh spiritual culture.
The Abai Studies lecture, held over the course of three weeks at the KBTU building, brought together ambitious young people and became a meaningful event continuing the tradition of the “people’s university.” The purpose of the lecture was to reflect on Abai’s deep intellect and wisdom, to engage the minds of dedicated students and motivated youth, and to interpret Abai’s profound language and philosophical arguments. As the result of the three-part lecture at KBTU, a TEDxAbay discussion was held among the student participants. Students who presented fresh insights and original ideas at the TEDxAbay platform were awarded scholarships. Active participants received special gifts and publications by Abai scholars. This event became a vivid example of implementing KBTU’s principles of “Radiant Mind, Ardent Will, Warm Heart.” The university demonstrated that it is not only a hub of technical education, but also a sanctuary of culture and humanistic values. For the most original ideas and novel perspectives, five winners were awarded merit scholarships, while active participants received certificates and commemorative gifts. Abai is the foundation of Kazakh spirituality and the living proof of its intellectual heritage.
