I was never destined to perish from the beginning”

On October 17, our university’s senior lecturer and linguist, Arǵynbek Qunanbaiuly, delivered a leadership lecture for Almaty students dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Abai Qunanbaiuly, who is regarded as a golden pillar of Kazakh spiritual culture. The topic of the lecture was “I was never destined to perish from the beginning.”

The purpose of the lecture was to reflect on Abai’s profound intellect and wisdom, to engage the minds of devoted students and motivated youth, and to interpret his layered language and philosophical arguments. Active participants received special gifts and publications by Abai scholars.

For the most original ideas and fresh perspectives, five winners were awarded merit scholarships, while active participants received certificates and commemorative gifts.
