Collection of Kyrgyz poet presented to KazNU

The presentation of the new collection of the Kyrgyz poet Melis Mamatzhanov "Deraksiz dunie" ("The Dissolute World") took place at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The organizers were the Faculty of Journalism and the Department of Publishing, Editing and Design Arts in cooperation with Osh State University.

The presentation brought together leading representatives of the literary community and the academic field.

Kanat Auesbai, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism at al-Farabi Kazakh National University, addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech, noting the merits of Melis Mamatzhanov, winner of the Best Poet of the Year festivals, participant of the Five Poets international project of the TURKSOY International Organization, holder of the Zhusup Balasaguni badge and winner of a number of prestigious competitions. He also emphasized "the vivid personality of the poet, whose poems cross borders and resonate in the hearts of readers from different countries".

In his speech, Melis Mamatzhanov thanked the al-Farabi KazNU for organizing the event, shared his vision of the role of literature in shaping national identity and cultural diplomacy.

During the event, the guests got acquainted with the poet's work, translations of his poems into Kazakh.

Cholpon Isanaeva, Deputy Consul of the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Almaty, Manas Tashybekov, Chairman of the Kyrgyz ethnocultural community "Muras", Almat Isadil, poet and translator, Murat Shokan, head of the World of Literature Center, Director of the Personality-Friendship Public Foundation, poet, congratulated the hero of the occasion.

The book of the young Kyrgyz poet was published in four languages: Kyrgyz, Kazakh, Turkish and Uzbek. The preface to the book was written by People's writer of the Kyrgyz Republic, Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY Sultan Raev.

The participants emphasized the importance of Mamatzhanov as one of the leading poets of his generation, noting his numerous awards and active social activities. During the meeting, thanks were expressed for the poet's contribution to the development of the culture of the Turkic world and for his role in popularizing Kyrgyz literature outside Kyrgyzstan.
