SDG №4: A Creative Meeting with Writer Maksat Malik

On November 18, 2025, the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory at the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a creative meeting with Maksat Malik, a prominent representative of contemporary Kazakh prose. The event was organized by the department’s senior lecturer Sovetkhan Tleubaev Bayaovich and second-year master’s students.

The meeting was attended by the head of the department Samal Darybaev, Doctor of Philology Saule Baimyrzakizy, and senior lecturer Bolatkhan Sergazyevich, who emphasized the importance of the event and expressed their support for the students’ initiative.

During the meeting, Malik’s literary work «Abyl and Qabyl» was discussed. The master’s students presented detailed reports, analyzing the artistic features and thematic significance of the work. Participants shared their opinions and asked the author questions, to which Malik provided comprehensive answers, discussing the history of the book’s creation, its concept, and its relevance in contemporary society.

The creative meeting proved to be an insightful and inspiring event, offering students the valuable opportunity to interact directly with the author and gain a deeper understanding of the literary process.
