KazNU Student Delivers an Impressive Presentation at the “TürkçeFest – 2025” Cultural Festival
On November 22, 2025, Turan University hosted the annual cultural festival “TürkçeFest: Unity in Language, Friendship in Culture,” an important platform for inter-university creative and academic exchange in Almaty.
The event brought together students from leading universities of the city, including Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Abylai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Narxoz University, and others.
Al-Farabi KazNU was represented by Ayim Dosymkyzy Askerova, a 3rd-year student of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of Turkology and History of Eastern Countries. She delivered an academic presentation titled:
“Turkish Coffee as an Element of Intangible Cultural Heritage: Traditions, Symbolism, and Contemporary Perception.”

In her speech, Ayim explored the origins of Turkish coffee, its cultural significance, traditions of preparation and serving, as well as its role in various ceremonial and social contexts.
The presentation featured visual materials and a practical demonstration, which captured the audience’s attention.
At the end of the event, all participants received certificates of appreciation from the organizers.

The participation of our student once again highlighted the high academic level of KazNU and the university’s active engagement in fostering intercultural dialogue.
