Preventive Meeting Held for HSEB Students on Drug Crime and Offense Prevention

At the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a meeting was held with Sherim Damir, Senior Police Lieutenant of the Police Department of the Bostandyk District of Almaty.

On Friday, November 21, 2025, the Department of “Finance and Accounting” organized this event, where the representative of the law enforcement authorities conducted an informational and preventive session for students. During the meeting, he highlighted issues related to the prevention of drug-related crimes, administrative and criminal offenses, as well as the legal responsibility associated with such actions.

Special attention was given to current risks facing young people, methods of involving them in unlawful activities, and measures to ensure personal safety.

Students demonstrated strong interest in the topic, asking numerous questions concerning legal regulations and preventive measures against unlawful behavior.

Such events contribute to the development of legal awareness among youth, fostering a responsible attitude toward personal and public safety, and align with the university’s strategic priorities and Sustainable Development Goal 16.
