Modern Manifestations of Patriotism and Civic Responsibility

On November 20, 2025, a senior lecturer from the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies held an open mentoring event on the topic: "Modern Manifestations of Patriotism and Civic Responsibility" with   the third-year students majoring in Foreign Philology. The goal of the event was to broaden students' understanding of civic responsibility and its role in societal development. At the beginning of the open hour, students were introduced to the concept of patriotism in historical and contemporary contexts, emphasizing that today, patriotism also manifests itself in a responsible approach to one's professional activities, participation in public life, caring for others, and preserving cultural traditions. A discussion on civic responsibility followed. Students discussed environmental awareness, respect for public property, and community service, shared information with each other, and reinforced it through various games such as Kahoot, Tests, Jeopardy. The open hour was productive and generated keen interest among the students. The event's goals were achieved: participants recognized the importance of each citizen's personal contribution to the development of society.
