The Department of the Far East of the Faculty of Oriental Studies held the ‘Golden Bell’ quiz among students
As part of the opening of the Korean Studies Week at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Department of Far Eastern Studies organized and successfully held the intellectual quiz “Golden Bell” among students of the Korean Studies program. This event marked the official start of a rich and diverse program dedicated to promoting the Korean language, history, and cultural heritage.
In her welcoming remarks, the Head of the Department of Far Eastern Studies, A. B. Abagan, officially opened the Korean Studies Week and emphasized the importance of such events in expanding students’ academic horizons, enhancing intercultural understanding, and deepening their knowledge of Korea. The event was organized by the faculty members of the department, including N.E. Khamitova, Song Yujong, U.A. Amirbekova, B.Zh. Tashkenbayeva, A.E. Sailaukenova, M.B. Begaliev, and others.
The students demonstrated high enthusiasm and knowledge, showcasing a deep understanding of Korean culture, traditions, and historical events. Participants who provided the greatest number of correct answers were awarded special prizes and memorable gifts.
The “Golden Bell” quiz served not only as an intellectual competition but also as an excellent opportunity for students to learn more about Korea, strengthen their teamwork skills, and spend enjoyable time together in a friendly and inspiring environment.
