As part of the “Farabi GreenCampus: Clean University” ecological youth forum, the first stage of the “AI and the Green Future” startup competition was held.

On November 24, at the Faculty of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the first stage of the startup contest “AI and a Green Future” was held as part of the national environmental campaign “Clean Kazakhstan” and the youth environmental forum “Farabi GreenCampus: Clean University.”

The purpose of the event was to encourage young researchers and startup teams to develop innovative solutions in green technologies by integrating artificial intelligence with environmental initiatives.

Twelve teams participated in the competition, presenting projects that combined ecology, digital technologies, and AI. The participants addressed relevant issues such as environmental monitoring of the university campus, waste management, efficient use of resources, and the application of AI in ecological processes.

Based on the results of the first stage, the winners were determined as follows:

• 1st place — “SmartEcoBox” startup project. Project author: Nurdaulet Izmailov

• 2nd place — “Farabi GreenCampus: Clean University” startup project. Project authors: Bekbolat Kubirbai, Salauat Tulepov, Ersagyl Akanseri

• 3rd place — “AI EcoDrone” startup project. Project authors: Zhayna Muratkyzy, Zhanbota Daulenkhan, Akniyet Musylman

The faculty administration and jury highly appreciated the participants’ level of project thinking, the innovativeness of their solutions, and the potential for integrating artificial intelligence into ecological processes.

The contest contributed not only to fostering environmental awareness but also to enhancing the scientific and practical potential of young researchers and students.
