KazNU strengthens academic dialogue with Jeju National University

An international seminar on Higher Education for the countries of Central Asia and Mongolia, organized by Jeju University, is taking place in Jeju City (South Korea).

The seminar was attended by heads and academic representatives of key universities in Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of the legislative bodies of Mongolia, which underlines the strategic nature of the issues discussed.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was represented by Board Member Vice Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities Maogulan Ibraimov, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Myrzakhan Egamberdiyev and Associate Professor of the Department of Far East A.E. Belyalova. The participation of the KazNU delegation made it possible to expand the range of scientific and educational cooperation and initiate new partnerships with a number of foreign universities.

The key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Jeju National University. The agreement is aimed at creating a sustainable platform for academic and cultural exchange, as well as developing joint scientific potential. The document institutionalizes the intention of the parties to develop and implement educational and research initiatives involving mutual academic mobility, the exchange of teachers and researchers, the creation of conditions for interdisciplinary research projects, as well as the introduction of innovative forms of practice-oriented learning.

An important aspect of the agreement is to reach an agreement on the annual coordination of joint programs and projects in writing, which ensures the consistency and consistency of the partnership development. In addition, each party appoints a responsible representative who will coordinate all areas of cooperation and ensure effective communication between universities.

The signing of the memorandum was a significant event both for both educational institutions and for the wider academic space of the region, marking new horizons for international cooperation and contributing to the strengthening of scientific and educational integration between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea.
