KazNU hosted a dialogue between the media market and the education sector
The republican employers' forum "Media Industry and Partnership in Education: problems of personnel training", organized by the Faculty of Journalism, was held at al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The large-scale event brought together heads and representatives of the country's leading media, publishing houses and PR structures. The forum discussed current trends in the journalism market, issues of strengthening cooperation between the university and the industry, and the employment of graduates.

The Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Kanat Auesbai opened the forum with a welcoming speech, focusing on the relevance of the topic of the event. He stressed that the forum is important for the formation and implementation of new training standards in the context of rapid changes in the media market. The Dean also noted that strengthening the relationship between KazNU and industry partners will be a key factor in increasing the competitiveness of graduates and the effectiveness of the educational process.

After the demonstration of the video, the participants moved on to the main block – a dialogue between representatives of the media and the educational sphere. The speakers of the forum presented key positions in the areas of digital journalism, media transformation and requirements for young professionals, as well as the role of partnership between universities and industry in the formation of competitive training.

The event was attended by speakers: experienced media manager Nurzhan Zhalaukyzy, CEO of Alatau Aqparat media holding Yerzhan Tolek, Head of PR Department at IRIS PR CONSULTING Yrys Amangeldy, Director of NAR MEDIA GROUP Nartai Otegen, Deputy Director of the National State Book Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tolkyn Turgalikyzy, chief producer of Abai TV Zhanylkhan Asylbekova, editor-in-chief of the information portal "Abai.kz" Nurgeldy Abdygani and others.


The participants discussed issues of analyzing current labor market trends in journalism, strengthening partnerships between KazNU and the media industry, expanding graduate employment opportunities and updating requirements for new media competencies.

The event included a memorandum signing ceremony with employers, partner awards, and a "Profession Fair" where students had the opportunity to communicate directly with employers, learn about internships, internships, and potential employment.
