An Interesting Lecture Was Held at the “Zhibek Zholy” Club

In accordance with the annual plan of educational activities of the “Zhibek Zholy” Club of the Department of Chinese Studies, the series of events on November 27 was opened by a lecture delivered by Yerzhan Kerimbayev, Deputy Head of the Department for Academic, Methodological and Educational Affairs, on the topic “The Phenomenon of Soft Power”.

Based on his research interests, the lecturer shared comprehensive and engaging information about the “soft power” phenomenon, which is gaining increasing significance on the global stage today. He discussed its essence and importance, origins, distinctive features, stages of development, as well as the countries that actively apply this tool in their policies. Special attention was also paid to the soft power potential of Kazakhstan, which has recently attracted growing international attention. The lecture aroused great interest and a positive response among the audience.
