Cultural Visit to see “Möldir Mahabbat” Play

18 november, 2025

On 18 November 2025, as part of SDG 4 “Quality Education,” under the guidance of Sovetkhan Bayanovich Tleubayev, Candidate of Philological Sciences and Assistant Professor, the second-year master’s students majoring in 7M01701 – “Kazakh Language and Literature” attended “Möldir Mahabbat” theatrical production by Sabit Mukanov at the Mukhtar Auezov Kazakh National Drama Theatre. The play was directed by A. Rakhimov.

This cultural event not only expanded the literary and aesthetic outlook of the master’s students but also directly aligned with the academic content of the course “Public Speaking Skills.” The theatre serves as a vivid example of the power of spoken language, demonstrating vocal technique, intonation, pause, emotional expressiveness, and performer–audience interaction — all key components of effective public speaking.

During the performance, the students observed how the actors applied proper diction, orthoepic accuracy, breathing techniques, vocal modulation, emotional coloring of speech, and the synchronization of words with gestures and movements. These aspects provided valuable practical material for analyzing communication strategies studied in the course.

After the performance, the master’s students discussed the artistic and thematic interpretation of the production, directorial choices, and the interplay between acting techniques and rhetorical skills. This comparison gave them deeper insight into influencing an audience, maintaining attention, and conveying emotional-semantic accents in speech delivery.

This cultural visit contributed to strengthening the professional competencies of the master’s students, deepening their understanding of stage interpretation of national literary classics, and enhancing their public speaking skills.
