Farabi GreenCampus: Students of the Faculty of Physics and Technology Win the Grand Prix at the Ecological Youth Forum
As part of the national environmental campaign “Taza Kazakhstan,” the “Farabi GreenCampus: Clean University” youth forum brought together the best student eco-initiatives across faculties. According to the official program, participants presented short videos and reports on their ecological projects.
The Faculty of Physics and Technology was represented by eight students of the Department of Thermal and Technical Physics, who showcased projects aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices.
The Grand Prix was awarded to Aibolat Sembiev, a 4th-year student of the “6B07112–Thermal Power Engineering” program. His project, including a report and an original video titled “EcoCampus,” earned the highest recognition from the jury.
This achievement highlights the students’ contribution to sustainability, environmental responsibility, and resource-efficient behavior. The project aligns with SDG 4 “Quality Education,” SDG 11 “Sustainable Cities and Communities,” and SDG 12 “Responsible Consumption and Production”.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU, Zhanseіt Tuimebayev, for supporting youth initiatives and creating a platform that brings ecological ideas to life.
