The KazNU supercomputer will be used in the energy sector

Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Ilyas.

 

 

The meeting discussed the training of qualified personnel, increasing human resources, the implementation of joint research projects in the fuel and energy complex and the effective use of industrial and technological opportunities.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed during the negotiations. An industry center of technological competence for the fuel and energy sector will be created on the basis of KazNU, which will become a platform for joint research, development of applied solutions and innovation in the energy sector. The parties also agreed to use the university's powerful supercomputer to simulate complex technological processes, test artificial intelligence models, and develop analytical tools for digitalization and modernization of the industry.

Zhanseit Tuimebayev stressed that the agreement will allow bringing research in the energy sector to a new level. "KazNU scientists are successfully implementing advanced technologies and innovative projects in chemistry, mathematics and physics. In the near future, we plan to develop partnerships and launch joint projects in these areas,",- said the rector.

In turn, Deputy Minister Bakytzhan Ilyas stressed that KazNU is one of the leading universities not only in Kazakhstan, but also in Central Asia. "The scientific potential and material and technical base of the university allow us to implement major initiatives. The joint work will make a significant contribution to the strategic development of the industry",- he said.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to create a joint working group and develop an action plan for the coming period. At the end of the visit, the Deputy Minister got acquainted with the scientific centers of KazNU, the work of the supercomputer complex and its capabilities in the energy sector.
