A New Stage of Cooperation with Pakistani Universities
The Faculty of Oriental Studies hosted an official meeting with Senator Zarka Suharwardy Taimur, a member of the Upper House of Pakistan’s Parliament.
During her visit, the Senator met with students of the Urdu Department and familiarized herself with their academic activities and initiatives. She was also introduced to the work of the Muhammad Ali Jinnah Center.
At the meeting, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Sh.E. Kanafyeva, discussed prospects for expanding academic and scientific cooperation, strengthening cultural ties, and developing joint research projects within the Urdu Department.
Today, Al-Farabi KazNU maintains strong and productive partnerships with major Pakistani universities, including NUML, the University of the Punjab, Quaid-i-Azam University, and the COMSATS Institute.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their commitment to further deepening humanitarian cooperation and launching new joint initiatives.
