Republican Scientific-Practical Conference on SDGs Held at HSEB of Al-Farabi KazNU

At the Higher School of Economics and Business (HSEB), a Republican Scientific-Practical Conference within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was held under the theme “The Role of Education and Science in Reducing Poverty.” As part of the event, HSEB hosted a sectional meeting titled “Economic Policy and Social Well-Being: Pathways to Poverty Reduction.”
The session brought together leading researchers, faculty members, doctoral students, and practitioners in the field of socio-economic development. Participants discussed current approaches to reducing poverty, enhancing social support measures, and improving the quality of education as a key factor in mitigating socio-economic risks.
Research findings from Kazakhstani scholars were presented, highlighting evidence-based tools for improving population well-being and innovative practices aimed at supporting vulnerable groups. The session also addressed proposals for improving national poverty-reduction programs in line with the global SDG agenda.
The outcomes of the session emphasized the importance of expanding scientific cooperation, strengthening analytical tools for poverty assessment, and integrating research-based recommendations into public policy.
