21 november, 2025

With the support of the Department of Youth Policy of Almaty, the Information Resource Center Foundation organized a competition for the best anti-corruption essay among young people within the framework of the Adal Urpaq project. The competition was held from November 1 to November 21, 2025. The event was also attended by Japanese Akira Matsumoto, who studies Kazakh at the Faculty of Pre-university Education, and South Korean Choi Ho. Although writing an essay in Kazakh rather than their native language was a great challenge for them, both students showed good results. As a result, Akira Matsumoto received a diploma and an award in the amount of 50,000 tenge, and Choi Ho was awarded a letter of Thanks. In their essays, the students noted that corruption is an urgent problem not only in Kazakhstan, but throughout the world. This event corresponds to the 4 objectives of the SDG «quality education». In this direction, in order to increase the knowledge of students, a competition was organized, which contributed to the deepening of their knowledge on this issue.
