A seminar was held in honor of the 100th anniversary of Academician Yevney Buketov

The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted an international scientific and educational seminar "The Personology of Science: from the concept of E.Buketov's linguistic personality to modern Turkic-Slavic studies", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Academician Yevney Buketov.

The event was held within the framework of grant funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the project "Turkic languages of Kazakhstan in the context of spiritual modernization of society: from graphics to epic text".

The purpose of the event is to present and discuss the scientific legacy of Academician Yevney Buketov through the prism of the personology of science and his linguistic personality, uniting researchers around modern Turkic-Slavic studies.

The organizers of the event were: Research Institute of Turkology and Altaic Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, E.A.Buketov Karaganda National Research University, Farabi Library. The seminar was moderated by Doctor of Philology, Professor, Executive Director of the Research Institute of Turkology and Altaic Studies at al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Nursultan Shaimerdenova.

On behalf of the Chairman of the Board, Rector of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Margulan Ibraimov, Member of the Board, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, welcomed the participants. "The name of Evney Arystanovich Buketov is forever inscribed in the history of Russian science, as a symbol of academic tradition, an example of how a scientist's personality forms his scientific school and determines the trajectory of the development of humanitarian knowledge", the rector said in his speech.

The words of gratitude were addressed to the organizer by the Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Foreign Philology at KarNIU, Nursultan Buketova.  The presentation of the scientist's book "Linguistic personality in the personology of science: an analysis of the discourse of Academician E.A.Buketov" took place within the framework of the event.

After the demonstration of a video about the life and scientific work of Academician Yevney Buketov, the seminar continued with speeches by well-known scientists: Alfiya Kitibayeva, Associate Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the E.A. Buketov Moscow State University of Economics, Dariga Mukanova, Master of Humanities, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Foreign Philology at the E.A.Buketov Moscow State University of Economics, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the MAIN professors of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social Sciences of KazNAI named after Temirbek Zhurgenov Mendyganym Shaimerdenova and others.

The seminar ended with a final discussion and synthesis of the ideas of the seminar "Persona in Science", which was attended by prominent philologists, Turkologists and linguists from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and China.
