Students of the Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi KazNU Participate in the Winter University on Engineering Sciences at Samara University. SDG 4 and SDG 9

The Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University continues to expand its international academic cooperation. According to the official letter from the Samara National Research University named after academician S.P. Korolyov, and with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, our students are already participating in the Winter University on Engineering Sciences, held in Samara from 24 November to 7 December 2025, alongside participants from other CIS countries.

The Winter University programme includes the following modern areas of engineering training:
• design and development of unmanned aerial systems;
• aviation systems engineering.

The Organizing Committee expressed its gratitude to Al-Farabi KazNU for assisting in forming the student delegation and confirmed the participation of students from the Faculty of Physics and Technology in the educational and practice-oriented activities of the programme.

The participation of KazNU students in this international programme contributes to the implementation of:
• SDG 4 “Quality Education” — access to modern engineering competencies, an international academic environment, and advanced technologies;
• SDG 9 “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure” — development of skills in working with high-tech solutions and unmanned aerial systems, and strengthening the human capital necessary for an innovative economy.
