“Life Without Drugs is The Choice of the Strong!”

On December 6, 2025, a curatorial educational event on the topic:  “Social, Economic, and Family Consequences of Drug Abuse” was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was attended by the 3rd-year students majoring in  6В02303-“Foreign Philology (Western Languages)”, Faculty of Philology. The curator-advisor of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies, Ongarbayeva Meruert S., prepared video materials. 

During the meeting, the following issues were discussed: social consequences of drug abuse;

economic consequences; impact on the family; prevention measures, including participation in social and educational projects.

Taganova Lachyn prepared a report, while students Tirkeshova Aibibi and Toilyeva Altyndzhemal created a map-poster. Students also prepared a presentation and a video with materials on the dangers of drugs and preventive measures.

The event took place in an atmosphere of open dialogue. Participants noted that combating drug abuse is a personal responsibility, and youth play a key role in forming a healthy society.
