A charity fair "Territory of Kindness" ("Мейірімділік мекені") was organized at the Law Faculty of al-Farabi Kazakh National University in honor of the International Volunteer Day.
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the session of the UN General Assembly dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals, noted volunteers as an important force for society and emphasized the international significance of their activities.
The main purpose of the fair is to support citizens in need of social assistance, develop a culture of charity and civic responsibility among young people, and promote the importance of volunteerism. The future lawyers presented their own prepared dishes and products, and the funds raised were transferred to help a faculty student in need of a medical examination.
The event was implemented within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals and covered the following areas: helping families in need, improving the quality of life of children, reducing social inequality and strengthening cooperation between the university, youth and society.
In addition, teachers of the department and students shared their opinions on the role of volunteerism in society, its importance in social policy and the legal system. The organizers noted that such actions contribute to the formation of moral qualities among young people, the development of a sense of responsibility and a culture of real help.
