A chemistry Olympiad for schoolchildren has been organized
The first "Birimzhanov Chemistry Olympiad" among students of grades 10-11 of secondary education organizations in Almaty, organized jointly by the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Chemical Biology School, has ended.
The main purpose of the event is to increase the interest of schoolchildren in chemical science, identify talented young people and create conditions for the development of their scientific and cognitive potential. This year's Olympiad is named after one of the founders of Kazakh chemical science, an outstanding scientist, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, academician Batyrbek Akhmetovich Birimzhanov. About 180 candidates from the city's schools took part in the Olympiad, which was tested in two stages.

The Olympiad was supported by the Chemical Biology School, founded by Bauyrzhan Bakytzhanuly, a graduate of the faculty, and one of the training centers for the Unified National Testing of Chemical Biology.

All participants were awarded certificates and letters of thanks. The students who achieved the best results were awarded special nominations. Six excellent students, who won three prizes, received diplomas and financial prizes.
