The principles of integrity are explained

The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the regional forum "Адал білім – адал ұрпақ", aimed at promoting a culture of integrity in education and analyzing the role of anti-corruption policy in the sustainable development of the state.

The forum was organized by KazNU in cooperation with the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs in Almaty, the Akimat of the city and relevant organizations. Scientists, civil servants, international and public organizations, teachers and students took part.

Alina Galeeva, Member of the Board and Vice–Rector for Academic Affairs of Al‑Farabi Kazakh National University, emphasized the importance of the university community in shaping new standards in her welcoming speech.: "Higher education should be a pillar of honesty and professional ethics. Only through the joint efforts of universities, government agencies and the public will we be able to raise a generation for whom integrity is not a declaration, but an everyday practice".

Yerkebolat Nurzhigitov, Head of the Department of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs in Almaty, noted that transparency of procedures, digitalization and preventive work with youth are key mechanisms for reducing corruption risks.

The head of the UN Information Office in Kazakhstan, Vlastimil Samek, pointed out the importance of adapting international standards of honesty and accountability to national realities.

During the forum, issues of academic and professional ethics, the development of national models of anti-corruption policy, digitalization of management, and anti-corruption expertise of regulations were discussed.

During the event, a memorandum of understanding was presented between the Department of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs, the Public Council of Almaty and KazNU.
