On December 3, 2025, the evening titled «Independence Pillar (Тәуелсіздік тұғырымы)», dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was organized by the English language lecturers of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science and Master’s students from the Faculties of Philosophy and Political Science, Oriental Studies, and International Relations. The event took place at No.14 of the city library, with the support of the library administration.
Among the honored guests were: member of the public association «Zheltoksan-Almaty», recipient of the Y.Altynsarin Medal, senior lecturer at the Institute of Professional Development “Orleu” in Almaty, Zhayna Khadironkyzy Sametova; poet, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, laureate of the «Serper» Youth Union awards, Alibek Shegebay; and senior lecturer at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Manat Turgantaevna Dzhamaldinova. The guests congratulated the attendees on Independence Day, highlighting its spiritual significance for modern youth.
«Today’s Independence is the realization of a long-cherished dream», began Zhayna Khadironkyzy, sharing the historical events of the first days of independence and emphasizing the role of this day in shaping the spiritual and patriotic values of young people. Drawing from her experience of those historic events, she urged the younger generation to remain attentive to their country’s fate, to think critically and to act responsibly. Poet Alibek Shegebay, in his speech, recalled the heroism of those who gave their lives for independence and performed the heart-wrenching monologue of Kairat Ryskulbekov, which deeply moved everyone present. Manat Dzhamaldinova expressed her gratitude to the organizers, noting the importance of such spiritual and patriotic events in educating young people. She expressed her hope that the younger generation, particularly master’s students, would dedicate themselves to learning, uphold the honor of their country, and grow into individuals who carry the spiritual legacy of independence with pride.
A specially produced video celebrating Kazakhstan’s Independence Day, along with heartfelt greetings from international colleagues, highlighted the global significance of the event and expanded its spiritual resonance. Nazira Talkanbayeva, winner of National and International competitions, performed the song «Qazaq eli» with live musical accompaniment, delighting the audience. In the poetry composition «Poetic Thread – Independence», the master’s students showcased their creative abilities, enriching the content of the festive evening.
The guests expressed particular admiration for the organizers’ artistry and highly appreciated their sincere respect and responsibility toward Independence Day. The event became a meaningful and impressive gathering, contributing to the strengthening of the national spirit and fostering patriotic consciousness among the youth.
