KazNU Scholar Participates in the International Sinology Forum and the Global Professionals Congress in Shanghai

From October 19 to 25, Associate Professor of the Department of Chinese Studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Candidate of Philological Sciences Fatimabibi Nogaykyzy Daulet, completed a working visit to Shanghai, People’s Republic of China. The visit was organized based on an official invitation from the World Sinology Center (PRC), with all expenses covered by the host institution.

During the trip, the Kazakh scholar took part in “The 23rd Conference on International Exchange of Professionals” — the 23rd World Congress of Highly Qualified Specialists, as well as the “World Forum of Sinologists” held in Nanchang. She delivered a report on the development of Chinese language textbooks in Kazakhstan, participated in scientific discussions and academic exchanges, conducted a master class for doctoral students at Beijing Language and Culture University, and provided media comments about Al-Farabi KazNU for Chinese news outlets.

This visit proved to be highly productive. The scholar’s presentation and master classes were conducted at an excellent level. The scientific potential and innovative teaching practices of KazNU were widely introduced to the international academic community. As a result, academic cooperation expanded, agreements on joint publications and projects were reached, and the prestige and visibility of Kazakh sinology significantly increased. Media materials about Al-Farabi KazNU were published in major international Chinese media such as Xinhua and China Daily.
