LEADERSHIP LECTURE BY AN INVITED INTERNATIONAL SCHOLAR

Students, master’s students, doctoral students, and academic staff are invited to a leadership lecture by PhD Gábor Sramkó (Gábor Sramkó) from the University of Debrecen (Hungary) on the topic:
“The role of Central Asian mountains in the evolution of the Eurasian steppe biota”
Gábor Sramkó is a leading specialist in the field of molecular phylogenetics of flora and fauna and the author of numerous scientific publications. For several years, he headed the MTA-DE “Lendület” Evolutionary Phylogenetics Research Group of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. His work is based on modern genomic methods (RAD-seq, WGS) and focuses on the origin and evolution of plant and animal taxa in Eurasia.
The lecture will be useful for specialists in biology, biodiversity, and genetics, as well as for everyone interested in the origin of the Eurasian steppe flora and fauna.
