Young researchers of the Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, members of the University’s Council of Young Scientists, took an active part in the II Congress of Young Scientists of Kazakhstan with international participation, held on 12 December 2025 in Almaty. The Congress, dedicated to the UNESCO theme “Trust, Transformation and the Future: Science We Need for 2050”, served as a key platform for discussing the future trajectory of scientific development in the country.

On 12 December, representatives of the faculty joined the session “Earth, Space and Communication”, held in the conference hall of the KazNU Library. The session featured presentations by leading young researchers from Kazakhstan and abroad in astronomy, chemical physics, artificial intelligence, materials science, high-performance computing, and innovative technologies. Faculty participants attended plenary and sectional meetings, master classes, networking sessions, and viewed an exhibition showcasing modern scientific developments of young researchers.

Participation of young scientists from the Faculty of Physics and Technology directly contributes to the advancement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular:

SDG 4 – Quality Education, through the development of research competencies and academic mobility;

SDG 17 – Partnerships for Sustainable Development, through the expansion of international scientific cooperation.

The Faculty of Physics and Technology will continue its efforts to support young scientists, strengthen their research potential, and promote their involvement in national and international scientific initiatives.
