Open Educational Event "The High Pedestal of Independence"

An open educational event for foreign students titled “Тұғыры биік тәуелсіздік” ("The High Pedestal of Independence") was held at the Department of Language and General Educational Training of Foreigners, Faculty of Pre-University Education, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU).

The aim of the event was to review the country's history on the eve of the Independence celebration, citing the heroism of our ancestors on the path to independence as an example for foreign students.

The teachers of the department who spoke at the meeting stated that the Constitutional Law "On the State Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was adopted on December 16, 1991, and Kazakhstan acquired the legally formalized status of an independent state, recognized by the whole world. They stressed that this momentous event was the result of the fulfilled dreams and hopes of generations of our people. The instructors proudly mentioned that today, Kazakhstan is a leader in modernization and development among the CIS countries.

Following this, the department's instructors successively presented their reports, introducing the achievements of our independent country and stating that Independence Day is a unique holiday for all citizens of our country, a day that our ancestors dreamed of and waited for over the centuries.

The students asked many questions about the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In addition, the foreign students read poems about the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan in three languages and demonstrated their level of proficiency in Kazakh and Russian by participating in a small performance specially organized for this event. This open educational event was held at a high level with the active participation of the foreign students themselves.
