On November 20, 2025, the Higher School of Economics and Business hosted a guest lecture titled “Accounting and Taxes: The Profession that Sustains the Country’s Economy” for first-year students of the “Accounting” and “Finance” programs, held within the framework of SDGs 4, 8, and 17.

The speaker of the event was Nursulu Ibragimovna Razakova — Auditor of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Tax Consultant, Professional Accountant, and Director of the outsourcing company ILYAS & Group.

Ms. Razakova, a specialist with extensive practical experience in accounting and taxation, shared real professional cases and highlighted the vital role that accountants and finance professionals play in ensuring financial transparency, reducing risks, and fostering effective cooperation between businesses and government agencies.

Her informative and practice-oriented presentation demonstrated the importance of the chosen profession and its key role in the country’s modern economy, generating strong interest and active discussion among first-year students.
