The ICPC programming tournament is being held in KazNU

The semifinal stage of the International Student Programming Competition, the ICPC Northern Eurasia Finals, one of the largest and most prestigious student programming competitions in the world, is taking place at al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

 

 

 

By bringing together the best student teams from leading universities in Northern Eurasia, the ICPC Northern Eurasia Finals is an important stage in the selection process for the world finals of the international tournament.

At the opening ceremony, Member of the Management Board, ViceRector for Financial and Economic Affairs and Infrastructure Development Abdrakhman Tasybayev addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

"ICPC has remained a symbol of academic excellence, intellectual leadership, and a culture of teamwork for many years. These values are fully consistent with the mission of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, which consistently develops modern areas of engineering and IT education, digital technologies and artificial intelligence",- the Vice-rector emphasized.

The General Secretary of the Sports Programming Federation, Danabek Kaliazharov, also spoke at the event. In his speech, he noted the importance of such competitions for the development of IT competencies of young people, emphasizing that ICPC tournaments contribute to the formation of students' teamwork skills, creative thinking and preparation for international professional level.

The team of al-Farabi Kazakh National University is also taking part in the semi-finals. It consisted of students of the Faculty of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence: Daulet Asuov (specialty "Data Science"), Daulet Khamzin ("Information Systems"), Ermek Nurbakhit ("Cryptology").

The participants of the competition represent not only their universities, but also the scientific and technological potential of their countries. The semi-final stage will be a source of new ideas and an important step in the professional development of the participants.

The results of the ICPC International Student Programming Competition will be announced tomorrow December 17th.
