16 december, 2025

At Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, special attention is given to ensuring safety, promoting sustainable development, and creating a comfortable learning environment for students. On December 16, 2025, within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 11 focused on safety, sustainability, and the resilience of communities and as part of the duty assignment of Doctor of Economics A.T. Uskelenova at Dormitory No. 16, an event entitled Independence and Memory: Responsibility for a Sustainable Future was organized. The organization of this event represents not only a preventive measure aimed at maintaining order, but also an important component of the university’s systematic efforts to foster a safe and open academic environment.

Within the framework of the event dedicated to Sustainable Development Goal 11, special emphasis was placed on creating a favorable, environmentally responsible, and resilient living environment for students. Today, a university dormitory serves as a model of a modern urban space where mutual respect, responsibility, and active student engagement are essential. Such initiatives contribute to the development of a culture of safety, the enhancement of social responsibility, and the strengthening of dialogue between students and the university administration. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (https://farabi.university/) consistently implements the principles of sustainable development, making a meaningful contribution to the creation of safe and comfortable cities of the future.
