“Independence. Remembrance. Responsibility”

At Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, special attention is given to ensuring safety, promoting sustainable development, and creating a comfortable learning environment for students. On December 16, 2025, within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 11 ‒ focused on safety, sustainability, and the resilience of communities ‒ and as part of the duty assignment of Doctor of Economics A.T. Uskelenova at Dormitory No. 16, an event entitled “Independence and Memory: Responsibility for a Sustainable Future” was organized. The organization of this event represents not only a preventive measure aimed at maintaining order, but also an important component of the university’s systematic efforts to foster a safe and open academic environment.

Within the framework of the event dedicated to Sustainable Development Goal 11, special emphasis was placed on creating a favorable, environmentally responsible, and resilient living environment for students. Today, a university dormitory serves as a model of a modern urban space where mutual respect, responsibility, and active student engagement are essential. Such initiatives contribute to the development of a culture of safety, the enhancement of social responsibility, and the strengthening of dialogue between students and the university administration.
